Olena Borysova

Born on December 20, 1982 in Kharkiv (Ukraine), Olena Borysova manifested her talent for art from an early age. As a child she actively attended art classes and participated in various exhibitions with her drawings, giving proof of her artistic skills.

After graduating from high school in 1998, Borisova entered the Kharkiv School of Art. She completed her studies as an external student successfully and faster than foreseen, receiving a well-deserved diploma with honors.

An important role in her creative development was played by studying with the outstanding painter Hrihory Korobov, and she also had the honor of studying with Viktor Kovtun, People’s Artist of Ukraine, President of the Kharkiv Union of Artists and with Honored Artist of Ukraine Yuriy Vintayev.

Winning the national “Olympics” competition for young artists was an important milestone in her creative career. It opened the doors to the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts where she continued her studies under the guidance of excellent masters.

In 2011, Olena Borysova won the National Competition Award “Woman of the Third Millennium”, and in 2022 she won the "graphic design" category of the National competition promoted by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Defense. The project involved visiting military units on the front and processing impressions.

Borysova is a member of the National Union of Painters of Ukraine. Besides the awards and prestigious prizes, her mastery is testified by the presence of her paintings in Ukraine’s state museums and private collections around the world.

Her works are appreciated by a wide circle of art lovers. Her paintings have been exhibited in Ukraine, Poland, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Israel, the United States, Australia and other countries.

Currently Olena Borysova lives and works in Italy.
